Skiethoppe White IPA

Bottle at home. Aroma is wheaty, white bread, citrus, lemon, yeasty, hint of fruity hops. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Not hoppy enough to be called "White IPA", but I like the wheaty touches. Easy and refreshing.

Bottle. Pale blonde, hazy. Soft grassy citric hops and a hint of coreander in the aroma. Lemon flavor with soft spicy notes. Almost like witbier with lemonjuice and lemongrass. Thirst quencher.

Fles 33cl thuis. PP zuurtje, bitters, citrus, fris, fruitje. (4-2017).

Bottle [from trade with bierkoning] shared with Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Murky yellow color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, lightly hoppy, orangepeel, lightly zesty. Fizzy carbonation, average to medium body. Meh.

Bottle from Speciaal Bierwinkel Bodegraven, BB 4-16, large sample. Cloudy yellow color, big rocky head. Aroma is slight spicy of coriander, wheat, citrus, slight celery/green apple, coriander. Soft sweet citrussy, soft bitterness. For a witbier, it is a bit on the yeasty and spicy side, so more wallonian. For a white IPA it lacks a bit hoppower. Bit too much yeasty byproducts, but enjoyable.

flesje van @Henk Otten, de brouwer van de PochPoater bieren, na dat ik eerder wat bieren via Edo had gekregen die wat geïnfecteerd waren, bracht Henk mij persoonlijk een 6-tal bieren, super bedankt hiervoor ! schenkt wazig geel/gouden met witte kraag. Aroma van gerst, zoetig, licht floraal, allen wat beperkt. matig zoet, matig bitter, licht zuur, matig fruitig, citrus, licht hoppig op fris en licht citrus moutbasis, iets gekruid, mis een beetje het IPA karakter, meer witbier. --- Beer merged from original tick of Skiethoppe on 23 May 2018 at 16:42 - Score: 6
