This beer originates in English Ale from the colonial era, which was strengthened and properly hopped to withstand a long voyage through the tropics to final destination India, hence the name India Pale Ale (IPA). By the time it almost disapeared, but was successfully revived in the 1975 in San Francisco Anchor Brewing. Thanks to the newly available, aromatic, American-grown hops, it quickly spread to craft breweries throughout the whole US and became one of the most popular beer styles worldwide. However, the taste of beer was obtained from different spices, herbs and fruits before the appearance and breeding of the hops. We combined these approaches and, in addition to the proper dose of hops, we also added orange juice and aromatic peel to our Tropical IPA. The Ale has therefore a pungent aroma of ripe oranges and juicy taste with a pleasantly bitter bite.
