Legendary Scottish whisky distilery Laphroiag has earned respect of masses. It's uncompromising flavour based on peated malt is loved by many of our brewery colleagues and so it's always an easy choice when we are deciding what barrels to fill fo our aging project. After 18 months the peat really comes forward, rewarding ours and our customer's patience.

750ml bottle as Barrel Project - Laphroaig Stout. Massive islay overdose, loads of smoky leather, tar and woody whisky notes. Warming alcohol, burnt malts and licorice. Quite intense and massive.

Lahev (Kšeft z Neratovíc!): As black as expected, nearly no head, rich and sweef aroma of hundreds of flavours: roasted malt, peat, smoke, wanilla and vood, chocolate and so on; full sweet and mildly bitter flavour, full bodied, very soft; returning flavours in the lingering sweet and increasingly bitter finish. Nice hybrid with well hidden C2H5OH...

Bottle at the Zichovec barrel tasting. 27.8.2020 Full body, med-low carbonation. Shitloads of: chocolate, toffee, peat smoke. Moderate roastiness. Lots of sweetness. Assertive warmth too, but well rounded, great balance. Great beer. 4,1 2022 version, about a month ago. Tap at Zil verne. Full body, medium carbonation. High sweetness, balanced by moderate warmth and medium coffeeish bitterness. Lots of toffeeish caramel, moderate peaty smokiness, light woody coconut. Both rich and intense, rewarding sipper. 4,3
