Bottled 375ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren. Pitch black coloured, minimal brownish head, heavy peaty barrel nose. The taste is almost the same and quite enjoyable. Peaty with notes of chocolate, some chestnut and alcohol with quite dry finish. Well done.

375ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark brown head. Intense, BA supported, roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of peat and leather, widely disguised, nutty and caramel malty undertones. Taste is roasty, dark malty, notes of coffee, BA notes of peat and leather, subtle caramel malty undertones, some alcohol, a touch of ashes, lots of roasty and hoppy bitterness. Oily to viscous texture, smooth, minimally greasy palate, very fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Laphroaig dominated; widely disguised but very robust malty basis is pretty suitable to embed the massive peaty flavours - great sipper.

0.375l bottle, shared with Ogi and Hrabren. Opaque black body, no head. Ginormous peaty barrel aroma, but sweetish, pleasant enough, mild chocolate to balance it out, some alcohol - but it doesn't get in the way. Lean taste, hugely peaty, minerally, peppery, warming, almost like, creamy, some unexpected cherry touches along with chocolate. The Laphroaig is everywhere, but this went in several really interesting directions underneath, while staying nice and smooth.

0.375 l bottle thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague, shared with Ogi and him. Oily black, minimal head. Aroma is peated smoke and coconut. Intense smoke, charred wood, plastic, roasty and earthy notes underneath. Smooth, silky, very gentle. Chocolate, smoke, dried fruit flavour. Smoke covers it al the way. Excellent use of a scotch barrel. Some alcohol. Some sweetness, but finishes dry, roasty and smokey. Good balance.

(bottle 0,375l from Zichovec brewery e-shop) Overall: Good. Peat-smoke overwhelms everything. I'm not fan of it in beer but it doesn't seem so bad here, maybe because it's from whisky and not brewed directly from that malt. Aroma: Strong peat smoked malt, later some whisky-alcohol notes, light chocolate. Appearance: Clear black. Minimal, brown head. Taste: Medium sweet, peat smoked malt, spicy alcohol, later roasty, chocolate, maybe some wood. Palate: Medium-full body. Warm, very long peat-smoked finish.

Aroma is this fantastic laphoraig peat smoke, with a base of roasted malts and sort of buttery base to the peat. must say this is one of the very best peat smoked imp stout aromas I have sampled. Even though the peat has taken over everything, it still works perfectly, it is just like it should be. flavor is roasted malts, salt, charred wood, strong woody notes, glue, i think perhaps a bit too long on the wood, this one, peat is not as agressive in flavor as in aroma, it just adds to the tons of wood and roasted malts. I don't notice the 14.5% alc. is well hidden in all these flavors. The beer is not sweet, which is a plus, and also not bitter nutty, which is also a plus.

Bottle. Nice one. Heavy peated aroma on nose. Sticky mouthfeel. Oily texture. Peated. That's pretty much killing all the taste, but it's a nice sipper still. Goodie.
