Bottled. Golden colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is citrus, herbs, yeast, some bready malts and mild fruit. Flavour is sweet malts, some biscuity notes, citrus, yeast, and mild alcohol. Flavour also gets a slight gluelike tone to it as it warms up a bit.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear, golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head leaving some lacings. Grassy, piney notes in the aroma, with some caramel and pale malts. It’s quite bitter on the palate, full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Resins, pine cones and a quite harsh bitterness in the flavor. Lasting finish with the same harsh bitterness. Quite nice this one, hides the alcohol very well, but I’m not impressed. 140816

Bottle 750ml flip top (Saveur)
Clear amber color, small white head, some lace. Apple and alcohol in the nose, light grassy notes. Medium-bodied. Overriped apple, alcohol and grassy bitterness. Fruity malty and closer to "typical biere de garde" than DIPA. Typical Saint-Germain beer.

Bottle at La Fine Mousse, Paris
Hazy amber color with small head. Nice malty aroma, very caramelly and sweet, reminding me of American barley wines. Malty flavor, sweet, caramel; strong bitterness, fruity and resiny; crystal malt?
Quite good, a new one for the French market; American barley wine all the way.
