Flip-top 333 from Cave à Bulles. Pours hazy orange/amber with a transient fizzy white head. There’s an oxidation odor accompanying some warm malt. Full bodied. Flavor is caramel with a lot of hop. But it’s not very bitter. I’m guessing this was floral/earthy hop. I’m a big fan of moderate (or immoderate!) oxidation in a heavy ale.

Bottle. Pours a pale golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty spicy hoppy bitter grassy flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy deep golden with a lacing off-white head. Muddled hoppy aroma. Solid malty nose, sweet malts and fruit again with a rather muddled hop profile. Ends bitter though. 230212

bottle, many thanks to jaghana! Hazy amber-brown colour, large and creamy off-white head. The aroma is slightly citrusy, but also typically "French" hop aroma. Full-bodied, intensive malty base with a touch of alcohol detectable, smooth palate, feels slightly vinous. Hints of caramel, also characteristics of IPAs, quite lemony, on the other hand like a strong Bière de Garde - a hybrid of both: that makes it very interesting. God, I enjoyed this beer!
