Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt, maple, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, whipped cream, some coffee. Flavour is sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is above medium. Sweet, decadent, could have used a more robust body.

My 50th Flying Dog rating. Labeled as Willett Bourbon Barrel-Aged Operation Breakfast Breakfast Stout. Also rated at 10% ABV. Opaque dark brown color. Large frothy tan head. Roasted malt aroma hints at dark chocolate, maple and bourbon. Flavor follows nose. Dark chocolate, oak, bourbon, vanilla and maple.

Bottle. Dark brown with beige head. Strong chocolate, coffee, vanilla in aroma. Taste, is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, warming alcohol. Powerful beer, tasty beer.

$2.96 bottle from TWSP. Dark brown with a small beige head. Sweet maple, caramel, vanilla, coffee nose. Flavor is maple, vanilla, coffee, cream, toast... jesus, they nailed the breakfast thing. Tastes like an old fashioned diner breakfast for sure.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, 5/8/21. Rating as many different states in a row as I can without repeats. Starting on 5/4: IL, CT, NY, VA, TN, IA, MN, AZ, OH, FL, NM, MI, TX, CO, CA, MO, MA, and now MD. Black, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tart cherry, chocolate, vanilla, roast. Taste is roast, maple, chocolate, chocolate, raisin. Full bodied, overly sweet.
Black pour. Thin tan foam. Nice even lace around the glass. Sweet nose of maple syrup and vanilla. Predominant flavor of maple syrup with egg and milk. Maple and egg palate.

Wonderful beer. Individual elements are subtle but comes together for potent package. Roast, vanilla and caramel. Dark chocolate, coffee. Black pour without a ton of head. Bittersweet end. Creamy consistency. Bottle.
