(can 0,5l from Cheap food grocery) Overall: Strong alcohol evident. Unexpectedly malty. Not so bad as expected. Aroma: Light sweet, malt, alcohol. Appearance: Clear dark golden. Minimal, white head. Taste: Strong pure alcohol, light sweet, malty. Palate: Medium body. Alcohol finish.

Can. Golden color. Hint of caramel and licorice in the grainy aroma. Grainy flavor with toffee, licorice and bubblegum. Slightly perfumed. Poor, but not as bad as you might expect.

50 cl. can @ home, bought @ Nettorama Gorinchem. A special beer for a special occasion, this being my 1500th rating. Clear dark golden with a thin white head. Sweet alcohol, perfume and caramel aroma. Taste is sweet and, compared to the other United Dutch Breweries lines like Phoenix and Atlas, not that bad at all. I’m in fact a bit surprised here as it is not the total drain pour I expected. It lacks the harsh alcohol burn most of these high gravity malt liquors have and it even borders on smooth. It also could be that having tasted all these hobo beers I finally managed to ruin my taste buds and nose. Don’t get me wrong here, it’s still nowhere close to a well crafted, tasty beer but it sure does some things right. Ad fundum!

Can, to finally rate this style, courtesy of Benzai during EuroSwap. Well, 12% ABV carries everything, including terpentine, other cleaning alcohols, and dirt. That’s what you’ll find. Pinches on the back of the tongue.

50cl can @ benzai. Nice clear golden colour with a medium sized white head. Smells like a meaty fart. The ones I usually experience at around 23.00 after Borefts. Salty, poopy and dead animal all over. Tastes twigs. Not particular green ones or dry ones or anything. Just twigs. And quute sweet. Body is medium but alcoholic, soft carbo. Having survived over 4000 ratings - my liver deserves better than this. I also want to add that I’m not usually someone who bashes these kind of homeless-people-go-to beers just for the sake of bashing them. This beer is just bad.

50cl can @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Golden color, medium sized rough white head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is really really bad. I don’t know what this is. Sourish wort mixed with rotting corn and chicken shit is what comes closest. Tastes like soap and weird filthyness. Dear Lord who on earth have they made this for? And why?
