Bottle. Black. Dominating mocha coffee aroma. Maltflavor with mocha coffee and a hint of salt. Well carbonated, just a bit alcoholic. Dry. Well balanced. Needs just a bit more body, otherwise a very good beer.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai en gedronken met TomHendriksen. Donkerbruin tot zwart helder bier. Aroma en smaak van koffie , beetje zoet. Jammer dat de smaak snel wegebt.

0,33l bottle at home as part of Euro Local Swap courtesy of bierkoning, big thanks. BB 09/2016. black color, medium big coffee-colored head. smells of coffee, coffee grounds, bitter herbs, rather bubbly carbonation, spices, nettle, hints of roast. decent smell, quite bitter herbal / coffee notes do not come out very well. full body, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, licorice, bitter herbs, bitter chocolate, earthy notes, nettle, spices. finishes a bit dry with some hints of roast with notes of licorice, spices, light earth and bitter herbs. rather weird one this. the "coffee" I would describe it as a combation of bitter herbs with some licorice and caramel. overall beer is also a bit too sweet and lacks some roast notes. not what I would consider a coffee stout. I almost feel a bit generous giving a 3 for this. Not my kind of beer.
