APA, or American Pale Ale, is a style of pale top fermented beer developed in United States around 1980. It immediately became the heart and soul of American craft beer revolution and had been the top selling and most popular american craft beer for the next 30 years. Pale Ale from California brewery Sierra Nevada is the most renown example and a modern classic. In the production of this refreshing brew, relatively neutral top fermenting yeast and North American two-row barley malt is used, but what is significantly different from the British and European ales is American hops. Beside the bitterness, they lend the beer its distinct flavor of citrus, flowers or resin. Malty sweetness resembles toasted bread or biscuits and only gently complements the overall flavor of this balanced brew.

33cl bottle from the brewery. Head is medium, white, good retention. Colour is pale gold, clear. Aroma is nice orange, tropical fruits, grapefruit. Taste is medium malty base, citrus mix, tropical fruits, pine touch, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, nice hoppy for the style, enjoyed.

Bottle from Pivný raj Not really strong in aroma but taste is nice bitter, hoppy, fresh citruses. Easy drinking.

v laniuse. vyrazna jasminova vona. medova farba, pena sa stratila. chut horka jasminova velmi prijemna. na konci ostava a citim tam bylinky.

Tap at Salon piva. Some diacetyl, rather low carbonation. Otherwise nice American hops flavour, fruity, citrusy, resiny. Clear golden to amber colour.

Handbottled from brewery, brought by Rado from Kastelan brewery. Unclear orange golden color with medium white head. Earthy hops in aroma together with oranges, tropical fruits orange zest. Taste, solid malty base followed by nice tropical fruity hoppy kick together with pines and orange zest. Long hoppy bitter finish. Good.
