(bottle, 33cl) Clear, amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Sweet and mildly toasted malty aroma with distinctive notes of toffee, accompanied by subtle fruity notes and a whiff of herbal and slightly metallic hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Quite dry toffee-ish malty taste with a present herbal hops character, getting slightly metallic towards the dry and moderately bitter finish. Still a likeable Alt-interpretation from Austria. 22.IV.13

Bottle, courtesy of Cuso, many thanks! Aroma is fruity, caramel, some smoke and basement aromas. Clear deep amber colour. Almost non-existent head. Taste is woody with light fruitiness, hints of caramel, smoke. Initially sweet, quickly turning tart. Finish is of moderate duration and mostly tart.

Thanks to quack-duck for that bottle. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark, zippy, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit dusty-scratchy. Fruity hints of raisins. Finish milder, almost a bit washy. Okay.

Flasch’n ( a nice donation from the Bodensee/Lake of Constance!):Clear, deep golden to light amber coloured, smaller off-white foamy layer, subtle fruity and dark-malty nose with a metallic tinge; light and mild bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and pretty soft; short malty-fruity finish. Not bad, but quite tame…

Bottled 330ml. -Clear cooper coloured, small off-white head, sugary nose with hint of spices. Low carbonation. Sweet malty, light caramel and mild hoppy with touch of spices and pretty watery finish. Bitter also. Bit flat but easy-drinkable.
