Bottle. dark brown color. Malt, chocolate and hints of roast in the aroma. Bready sweet flavor with porto. Chocolate and caramel. Some soft roasty notes. Nice one!

Smooth sweetish Bock. Great and fresh beer, dark, dusty. Dried fruit, brown sugar, nice moderate bitterness. The aftertaste is intense, dry-fruity, sweetish-nice with a nice bitter malty ending.

Klares dunkel orangebraunes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, röstig, fruchtig, süß. Geschmack nach reifen Früchten, Karamell, Zucker und Röstmalz.

Bottle from trade with Beerhunter111, many thanks. Chestnut brown color with medium white head. Dark malt, chocolate, sweet fruit syrup, coffee notes in aroma. Taste, sweet malt, sugar, molasses, red fruits, raisins, fudge. Alcohol in long sweet finish. Good Doppelbock.

Bottle at the Brewery. Chocolate brown with a lively head. Aroma is fruity malt. Flavour is chocolate and raisin, some burnt sugar on a powdery base.

Malzig herber Antrunk, dunkel würzig. Das Bier bleibt trotz der Malznoten und der Würzigkeit süffig, die Herbe bleibt fast durchgängig bestehen. Erdig, zum Ende deutlich malziger werdend. 10/10/11/11/9/11

Bottled, from biershop.bayern.de Clear mahogany colour, mid-sized head. Mid sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Deep caramelly malt, but never sticky. Notes of rasin and fudge. Mild warming finish.

Dark amber to clear chestnut beer, clear, under a small, fast dwindling greyish tan head; Little nose, actually, bit of dark malts. Sweet, caramel, toffee, autumn leaves, raisins. Finish is actually like a raisinsyrup for waffles, diluted. Less syrupy in texture than in taste, aftertaste has actually some hopbitterness, feels better carbonated than it looks. Too sweet by half, unless in the aftertaste. Not exactly the best of Doppelbocks.
