50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 24.09.2012
Aroma is rather malty with chocolate and some nuts. Flavour is malty with chocolate, nuts and some woody notes. Also some berries at the end of the glass. Slightly tart finish with some warming alcohol. Quite typical doppelbock – and good.

Good brownish, fluffy head over deep dark-copper beer. Dry caramel nose, but a bit childrens’ sweets-like. Suggests alcohol. Very caramelly taste, but with a leafy, drier character, certainly in the finish. Very slick, obviously well-bodied and alcoholwarming. Good in its style - not that many amber Doppelbocks available.

Bottle. A clear, dark amber beer with a small, dense, off-white to beige head. The aroma is quite vegetal, with some alcohol notes and fruityness. The flavor is a tad better, still rather vegetal. Some caramel notes and a little bitterness. Warming and full-bodied, a bit heavy on the carbonation. The finish is warming and slightly bitter, and the unpleasant dms flavor is still present. A rather poor doppelbock. 110601
