Cask at Beer Emporium, Sandbach. Pours a dark ruby with a medium sized foamy cream head. Roasted malts to the fore in the aroma, with a little gentle smokiness. In the mouth it is quite sweet with toffee and hints of berry fruits. There is a little smokiness which gradually increases and some malts and traces of liquorice come through later. Finish is dry and slightly sticky. This is quite nice.

Bottle at home. Pours clear ruby brown, nose is smoky, roasted, toffee, caramel, taste is sweet toffee, chewy, some fruity berries, dry smoky finish.
