Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts intense malty-spicy, modest dry, not too bitter. Sweet notes in the background. Finish a bit milder, well balanced, dominated by spicy notes. Nice!

Bottle: Golden with a small, firm, lacy foamy layer; solid clean sweet-malty nose with a tiny woody-hoppy breeze; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; a tinge of nuts of vanilla in the robust sweet-bitter finish. Fine, pleasant Helles........

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Sweet and minimal buttery malty nose with a whiff of citrousy and woody hops. Light-bitter flavour with a balancing malty sweetness; quite one-dimensional but clean malty and slightly herbal taste; slightly bitter and hoppy finish. Unexciting but easy going brew (07.06.08).
