Can. A slight gusher this one, fortunately only a few drops missed the glass. It's dark brown in color, unclear, and topped by a small, firm, dark beige head. The aroma is lovely, with the coffee sure present, but far from overpowering the other good stuff going on. Red berries, roasted malts, licorice, brown sugar, dark chocolate and a light earthy, almost mushroomy scent too. It's hiding the alcohol very well, just a whiff escapes the glass. 777 is quite sweet on the palate, with some warmth, a full body and a smooth carbonation. There's a little bitterness too, but the sweetness are dominant. Roasted malts, hints of licorice and dark rye bread in the flavor, along with a delicious fruity, earthy and chocolatey coffee taste, and some alcohol chimes in too. Some heavy caramel and a good dash of brown sugar also play a role. A quite delicious beer indeed, and the coffee used lifts it to another level. But it's a dangerous beer, the ABV at 14% is barely noticed. I'd love a bit more body though,. Sure a beer I could drink more of. 220809

Drukket på Bergstua. Ultramørkebrun/svart. Filmskum med litt farge. Kaffearoma. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Mest kaffe. Litt sjokolade. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning. Gjennomgående (bål)kaffepreg. Alkoholen veldig godt kamuflert. På minussida: Lite variasjon.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Fawn-coloured head, almost black in body appearance, spotty lacing. Appealing aromas of roasted bread, earth, and chocolate malts. Dark malt-forward flavours of liquorice, dark bread, chocolate and brown sugar. A backdrop of coffee to a roasted and rather sugar sweet ending. Its full bodied but does not taste that strong. Sipper qualities.

Men hva betyr bærtørket?
