Bear State is a classic IPA brewed in the spirit of the West Coast of the USA. This is a massively hoppy beer, balanced perfectly with a touch of malt sweetness and an intensely citrus hop character to finish.

Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A clear amber/golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, slightly sweet, pine, malty. Smooth and easy drinking. Decent IPA.

Fra fat på Craft Beer Co, Brixton 4 Nov 12. Aprikosfarget med litt rødskjær. Litt uklar. OK litt luftig skum som varer og fester seg til glasset. Bra fruktig aroma. Smaken veldig syrlig. Sitron. Ettersmaken det samme.

Tap at Craft Beer Co in Brixton, half-pint shared with Finn. Good amount of lacing down the glass. A few patches on the surface. Near-clear, amber coloured body. Fresh citrus fruits to the nose. Fresh fruity taste of pineapples and grapefruits added by apricot beneath. Fine lingering bitter ending. Medium bodied. A well-made and satisfying IPA (London, 04.11.2012).

Keg at Craft Beer Co Brixton. It pours amber with a medium white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, peach, Irn Bru, pine, grass and floral notes. The taste is sweet orange, zesty, grapefruit, peach, resin, pine, Irn Bru and Parma Violets with a bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly syrupy mouth-feel. Tasty stuff.

Craft. Clear amber beer, small cream coloured head. Palate is soft but with a stinging carbonation lurking. Nice sweet hops! Sweet pine with sweet generic fruits - orange and peach most readily identifiable. Malt cream. Minerals. Crisp finish. Nice beer!

Keg at CPK, London. Pours clear, orange-gold with a fine, white cream head. Lovely dry pine and orange nose. Very smooth flavor, well rounded, light to medium sweet with touches of pine, toasted malts, orange and grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous finish, great balance, moderate sweetness, pleasant hop kick of pine, lightly toasted grass, tangerine and grapefruit. Excellent IPA.
