Bottle at home(ish) from a supermarket. Nose and taste are nice mocha, a decent caramel backbone behind it, a hint of smoke on top, dark chocolate. Fairly complex, nicely rounded, fun to drink. In all honesty I didnt expect this to be this good

Draft. A- Cocoa, roasty, char. A- Black color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Ashy, cocoa, roasty, espresso, faint bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Expected some more dark fruit notes, but otherwise, really a nice example of the style. Quite tasty. Probably the best beer I had in Ireland, lots of flavor for 6%.

Appearance: opaque deep brown to black with a moderate tan frothy head of good retention. Aroma: roast & coffee, dark chocolate, fruity esters, cream, floral hop. Taste: pretty similar. Relatively dry. Warming alcohol is welcome. Mouth feel: medium body, soft, appropriate carbonation. Summary: very solid.
