Tap@sopp2014. Dark brown, beige head. Sweetish aroma, rye, melasses, mämmi. Flavor has licorice, roasted malt, fruity hops, grapefruit kicking in the finish. Black ipa more than porter imo. Heavy stuff.

Draught @Brewpub

Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, grassy hops, hints of smoke, chocolate and cocoa. Taste is hoppy, roasty and dry with loads of bitterness, some mild touch of chocolate, coffee and ash. Finish is dry, fruity and a bit harshly bitter with loads of roastiness and grassy hops. Quite massively hopped, just a tad too much on the bitter side. If this was a bit more fruity and smoother this would be world class. Still a really tasty beer. Definitely one of the best from the brewery.

(Keg at Bruuveri, 20140617) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had hops, fruitiness, roasted malts and chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, chocolate, grass, sweetness, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, hoppy and bitter. A very good hoppy porter. Balanced and tasty.

Aroma is sweetish with licorice and peat. Also some coffee. Flavour has smoke, peaty tones, licorice and well roasted coffee. Also some sweet toffee notes in the background. Delicious, perhaps the best one from Bruuveri ever.

Tap at Brewpub Bruuveri, Helsinki. Colour is black with small slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Hints of smoke, some tar, hops, hints of grain and roasted malts. Excellent drinkability and nice surprise.
