Tap @ Kitty’s. Poured pitch black with a thin brown head. Ashy, heavy roasty malty aroma, licorice and wet wood. Flavor has salty popcorn, licorice, dark chocolate, tobacco and hops. Heavy stuff, good in small doses. Complex. Dry, long finish. Full bodied.

Draught @ William K Sello. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, syrup, hints of burnt caramel fudge and toffee. Taste is sweetish, roasty and sticky with hints of fudge, toffee, caramel and salty licorice. Finish is sticky, sweetish and slightly caramely with some tar, burnt malts, toffee and salty licorice. A bit untypical, quite salty indeed. --- Beer merged from original tick of Salted Caramel Imperial Stout on 14 Jan 2017 at 17:38 - Score: 7

Tap at Kitty’s. Opaque brown colour, brownish head. Aroma has roasted malts, tobacco and licorice. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Roasted malts, notes of sweetness and vanilla, salted licorice and even tarry notes. Ruosniemi house flavors! Good.

(Keg at Kitty’s, 20170111) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had dark chocolate, toasted sugar and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, toasted sugar, ash, caramel, salty liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. A nice imperial stout in which other ingredients killed the excessive sweetness.

Tap at Olhus Stockholm, Helsinki. Colour almost black with brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, "kinuski", some sea salt water and roasted malts. Pretty good drinkability despite of saltiness. Much better when warming up.
