We’re throwing it back to early 20th century with this comically unofficial Old English style IPA made with modern day simcoe, cascape, centennial and citra hops. An unfiltered, lighter and refreshing twist on what our brewing forefathers intended with their standard English IPAs. Brewing magic or mischief? You decide.

On tap. Pours a clear orange-gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, grapefruit and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, grapefruit peel and pine resin in a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A solid English IPA, that verges on being an American IPA.

On tap at District, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter English hops and some toasted bready malt. Flavour is quite bitter, with plenty of piney hops, English malt, and a bitter pine cone finish. Has a nice malty sweetness to it that opens up. Nicely hopped, with a pronounced bitterness. Nothing special, but it's competently brewed.
