Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of vinegar and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty combined with an acidic edge from roasted malt and with notes of coffee, leading to a dry and roasted finish.

Bottle 25cl. @ yespr blindtasting. [ Bottle #4. ]Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, toffee, moderate alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, yeasty, sweet toffee, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. IMO A bit messy .. [20110219]

Bottle 25cl. Tasted double blind. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and a tiny off-white head. The nose is extremely buttery and unclean, some roast and a ton of phenols. Medium body, sweet roast, licorice and dark fruit with a salty edge and again a load of phenols. Poor craftmanship. 190211

25 cL bottle, #69 and 202 (I guess the brewer was able to squeeze some more out the barrel). Pours dark brown with a minimal head. Aroma is roasted malty, light wooden and caramelish. Sweet malty, thick liqourice, dark roasted malty and dense black chocolate. Thick and flavourful. Lingering dark roasted chocolate malty finish.

Bottle number 64/200. Looks very, very good. No label, wax around the top. Beer in the glass deep black, a bit oily. Wonderful malty-smoky aroma, a bit fruity. Starts not too strong, some malty notes with chocolate, sweet and soft. Finish stronger with fruity notes of plums. Again intense notes of chocolate, modest sweet, not as scratchy as other Imperial Stouts. Quite drinkable for a beer of this strength. I really like it and wish I had more of it...
