The Cuvée Miel is a special version of the Cuvée Armand & Gaston. This geuze is a blend of one-, two-, three- and four-year old lambikken that have been infused with honey on the coolship. While blending, we added some more local honey. The weighted average age of this blend upon bottling was more than 24 months. 100% 3 Fonteinen brewed lambik.

Flaska från 3 Fonteinen. Guldig, relativt klar, vit krona. Drucken jämte OG Honing 17 - 18 och 20 - 21. Mycket honung i denna. Sötaktig doft och smak med mycket honungstoner. Något distinkt som nästan draråt en Cognacs- eller Brandy 50N4E. Mycket gott.

Double-honeyed version of 3 Fonteinen’s Cuvée Armand & Gaston geuze, with honey added to the coolship and later in blending as well. Egg-white, moussy, medium thick, slowly opening head; misty amberish-tinged warm orange blonde robe with visible sparkling. Aroma of unripe peach, dry haystack, old dried orange peel, dandelion, lightly toasted pumpkin seeds, oxidized white wine, old bread crust, lemon zest, crabapple, sow thistle, urine-like Brett and some chlorine. Dry and crisp onset, astringent unripe stonefruit and wild apples, sour gooseberry side effects, fizzy carb (champenoise) with enlivening, refreshing effect; bread-crusty core under strong, grass silage-like lactic tartness and tannic woodiness as well as lingering wild apple, rosehip and unripe stonefruit notes. Odd retronasal effects appear, no doubt related to what the lambic yeasts did to the honey: dandelion leaf, mugwort, even dried mushrooms. Old hop bitter notes in the end, accentuating the dryness and woodiness; some juicy berry-like fruitiness does remain, but the whole ends very dry and tannic, a tad more so than the regular Cuvée Armand & Gaston in my mind (it has been a while since I last had it). Rich, complex, layered lambic blend, somewhat odd here and there but all the more fascinating for that reason.

18/VIII/22 - 75cl bottle @ Alengrin’s place, BB: X/26/41, bottled: 28/VII/21, 20|21 vintage (2022-1016) Thanks to Alengrin for sharing the bottle!

Clear deep orange beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: clean acidity, fruity, pretty peppery, funky touch, floral, a bit soapy, horse blanket, very complex, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very acidic, pretty chemical, rubbery, chlorine, acidic, weird. Aftertaste: dry, bitter, grapefruit, more acid burning the throat, something green, bitter finish, meh. Not a big fan…

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has a wonderful barnyard funk, with soft honey notes, and citrus. Flavour is funky and soft, with lots of barnyard funk, a pronounced softness from the honey, and gentle citrus. It's not as funky or complex as Golden Blend, but it's much softer. Really great.
