In dit bier vallen de chocolade- en koffiegeuren meteen op. Afkomstig van de grote hoeveelheid geroosterde granen die de basis vormen van deze stout. Net als bij chocolade wordt de smaak ondersteund door een romige zoetheid en een bittertje na. Deze stout is verrijkt met het aroma van amandelen. Zo kun je in dit bier bitterkoekjes of chocoladecake herkennen.

Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 7.5 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8
Pours a very dark brown colour, but not opaque black, and a small brown head with a small layer retention. Aroma's: sweetish, roasty, sweet coffee, red fruity. Retronasal it's more coffee/mocha-ish, roasty, rye bread, dark caramel/toffee. Flavour is sweet, sticky toffee, coffee, moderate roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes with short but firm roasty bitterness. Quite enjoying this.
