Brewed in collaboration with Vine Arts Wine & Spirits to celebrate their tenth anniversary, Sixth From The Sun is a whimsical play on the gin-based tiki cocktail, the Saturn.
Not all tiki cocktails are rum-based, and some - like the Saturn - pop with fruity aromas and flavours that play really well in a beer.
Method: Add a cocktail shaker-load of ingredients to the beer fermenter to create a very unique flavour profile - loomis, lime puree, lemon peel and juice, cloves, passionfruit, almonds and some lactose to balance the acidity. Mix well. Ferment over yeast. Chill, then pour into a beer glass with a flourish.
Garnish with a smile, dream of the tropics and imbibe with friends, like the fine folks at Vine Arts. Cheers to 10 years!

473ml can. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of grainy wheat malt, almond, vanilla, lime, lemon and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, lime, lactose, passion fruit, clove and floral hops in a dry, slightly tart finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Tasty. Not sure what a Saturn is, but definitely has a cocktail vibe to it.
