Sampled from the tap at Ansari’s. Pours a clear deep copper with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma combines whiskey and sweet grains with a bit of caramel and toffee underlying. Flavor has whiskey throughout with notes of sweet grains, caramel and toffee supporting.

Pours a deep, caramel-brown, almost bordering on black, with mid-sized tan head that dissipates very quickly. Aroma is booze and more booze, some oakiness, some toffee and spice. Flavor largely follows--this is a very sweet, very boozy beer, with the bourbon/booze flavor largely overshadowing everything else. Mouthfeel is smooth, maybe a bit thin? I'd agree that this probably isn't worth the cost, though I'm glad to have found a bottle in the wild...

Power tasting at Matt's, bottle, vintage 2017
Dull brown colour, small beige head. Strong aroma of whiskey, then malt, leather, old wood, light cherries. Full bodied, the malt is quite rich, the flavour is masssively characterized by the whiskey, some vanilla (from the barrel), cherries/almonds, some oxiddization; the acidity level is quite high; the finish is very boozy.
Interesting, pleasant, for sure not elegant though.
