Bottled. Ruby colour with a slightly off-white creamy head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is floral, some spicy, sweet malty and a bit dried dark ripe fruity tones. Flavour is yeasty spices, some caramel, mild alcohol as well as some slight toffeeish and mild berryish and ripe fruity tones. Feels more like an ale than a doppelbock.

Bottle:Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, lots of floaties visible, smaller creamy off-white head, dry toasted malt, medical hops and a touch of cough syrup in the nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 7.5%; dryish herbal/medical finish with some dark malt. Not too exciting…

Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with quite some impurities and a dense and lacing off-white head. Somewhat spicy licorice aroma. Rich body, quite some caramel, again this spiciness. An odd version of a Doppelbock. 070413
