TROPICAL. JUICY. HAZY.

For our latest collaboration, we’ve joined forces with one of the most legendary sagas of good vs. evil, The Lord of the Rings. Fellowship IPA: the one IPA to rule them all. This 5% Hazy IPA storms the gate with notes of pineapple, stone-fruit, mango and a touch of tangerine. Brewed with oats and wheat and left unfiltered for a smooth, juicy hit that’ll drive your tastebuds mad.

Pours hazy yellow and has a citrusy, hoppy aroma. There’s mild to moderate bitterness with citrus and hop resin flavors with malt flavor rather like many session ipas. It’s alright.

Tangerine and peel. A little sour lime. Doesn't really come together very well. Slightly hazy golden pour with big pillow of head. Light tangy finish. Can.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy straw gold with a finger of white fluffy foam that lingers. Pineapple, white grapefruit, oats and passionfruit on the nose. More of the same on the palate. Light and refreshing, lime zest and pineapple on the palate. With a light pithy bitterness on the finish. Easy drinking and hoppy.

Here is a good example of a company profiting off a wave of IPA so-called, beer lovers. My can says lord of the rings? WTF? Marketing gimmick. I'm not going to give this the courtesy of soiling a glass just to try it. Let's assume its somewhat hazy pale yellah, like all the previous raters, and I'll give it a 2 or 3 in the look category, hehay. Directly from the can it smells like fresh pine needles crumbled up in my hand. OK, lets drink the sap from a pine tree. Seriously, I was hoping it was more than 5% but there you have it; a bitter ass beer with little, if any euphoric effects, not worth it. It has lots of the characteristics and attributes of many session IPA; bitter and veggie skunk cabbage like on the palate, yes, veggie like the bitter taste of skunk cabbage from my back yard in the spring. This company, brewdog USA, really knows how to profit off of the beer tasting lemmings of the USA. Capitalism at its finest. Just one rude ass IPA out of a gazillion out there but it doesn't have the kick to make it worthwhile. Not only does BD get into the IPA craze, but now they combine it with Lord of the Rings, so stupid ass obvious. Rude nasty common IPA, freaken unenjoyable session IPA fer sher. You hope to catch a buzz but all you get is a bitter mouth coating palate that ruins your next brew tasting experience. Somebody please give me a fresh clean civilized pale lager for a chaser, please.
