Slices of pumpkin, slow-roasted with a coat of cinnamon and gula melaka, until all soft and caramelised, then mashed up and dosed into a conditioning tank full of delicious beer. The result? A full-bodied, full-flavoured Halloween delight, with notes of caramel, molasses and subtle pumpkin sweetness that’s balanced by a tinge of cinnamon spice. Frightfully good.

Draft at 36, Singapore. Poured a hazy orange amber colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is pumpkin and bready dough. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, biscuit dough malt, pumpkin, yeasty, herbal palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. One of the nicest pumpkin beers I ever had, probably because the pumpkin didn’t dominate.
