There can be no light without dark, and there can be no Ying without Yang. You've spent your whole life drinking the Ying of beers, now grab the Yang and experience the dark side of pils. They brewed this smooth lager using dark malts to provide a balancing bitterness that will make your taste buds go bump in the night. Darkness is goodness.

Pour is a black with a large mocha tan head. Aroma is a very minor roasted malt. Flavor is again a very minor roasted malt with a little sourness on the back end. I don't know where this brewer was going for here. Very minor roasted malt and the sourness lets me know this may even be a bit infected.

Coffee, dark chocolate malt, ash, and hay aroma. Very dark chestnut brown with large brown head. Moderately sweet coffee, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter ash/hay flavor. Good body.
