Putting a big thing in a little place like those watermelons, Square Melon is a small hazy pale with the body and hop character of a bigger beer. Hopped with Huell Melon, Amarillo and Vic Secret for plenty of deep citrus and tropics.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a big lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, lemon citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, watery, light melon, light lemon citrus, mineral, light woody hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Super light but quite tasty and ideal for the table.

Can ordered from the brewery. Aroma combines soft fruits with spice and an earthy streak. Hazy light orange. Foamy translucent white head. So, perhaps unsurprisingly, we got some muted flavours here. A citrus sourness. Distinct melon. And a big dose of malts. Soda and cardboard. Medium bodied. Slick with soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. A damp squib. Dialling it down doesn't do this beer any favours.
