Bottle @ London. Thanks to Sønder. Pours deep dark amber with a small creamy bubbly white head and lacings. Nose and taste is fruit and buiscuit, and a thick layer of caramel malt and floral hops. As the beer warms the yeast becomes more dominating. Very smooth . Dry end.

Fruit and malt on the nose. Taste is also fruity and malty there is a slight tinneyness to this, some bitterness, bit of a tang its alright. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask at the Grid Inn Wetherspoon pub in Southfields, London SW18, UK on 9th September 2009. Brown with a lot of haze and thick creamy head lasting for duration of the slowly-consumed pint. Bitter chocolate aromas met by slight caramel before a pungent kick with a sharp hop climax. Soft, slightly creamy mouthfeel leading to a delayed, but very bitter lasting finish.

Bottled (thanks to the craziest bartender around). Amber colour with mediumsized slightly off-white creamy head. Aroma is fruity, flowery, a bit nutty as well as some wooden notes. Mild caramel malty sweetness as well. Flavour is very much the same in a nice balance. Quite grassy and flowery aftertaste and finish. More like a bitter than an ESB. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cotleigh Barn Owl on 20 Jul 2009 at 13:16 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.
