12 oz. can. Pours a clear, pale, straw color, with a big, foamy, white head. The nose is lemongrass, butterscotch, mild spruce, and straw. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, zesty bitterness. Light, lively, and crisp. Easy, pleasant, and refreshing.

Crisp, kind of old -school throwback to craft beer's Pils of yesteryear. Grassy hops, very clean. Easy to drink.

From a can. Pours a clear pale gold with a billowing white head. Aromas of bread sticks. Flavors are moderately bitter hops with some sweet malt in the background.

Another day in a string of extremely hot days. A cooled-off beer in a chilled glass sounds good. Blue Hen was found yesterday at the big-box supermarket, I only had to buy one. I lift the tab on the 12 oz can and tilt into my simple beer glass. A mostly clear, light yellow body with a steadily recharged head of fluffy white foam. I smell plenty of grain and a bit of citrus perhaps. A drink now, well, I find it to be more flavorful than your basic pilsner. Malt, lemon, the barley makes its way through, meadow and crackers along with a touch of bitterness. Nice version of the style.
