bottle from lidl clear yellow, yellow head. mild us hoppy aroma, some bitterness, a bit less flowers and grapefruit as you would expect with an india pale ale, but not bad. flavor is grapes, grapefruit, yellow fruits, okay malty balance. this is not a bad ipa, it is very bitter, not that flavorful, but they did manage to get a lot of hop bitterness in there. malts balance well, it is not strong but doesn't come off as thin. As a discount supermarket IPA, this is quite okay. probably in the top range of generic supermarket ipa's - thouse are usually not bitter enough and watery. At least this one's got character.

Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazygolden with a white head. Aroma of malt, little caramel, light fruit, pine. Flavor is light bitter, malt, little caramel, fruit, pine. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 020421

[ As LiDL Karlens - Nordic Craft Beer - India Pale Ale ].
ABV: 5.5%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, flowers, pine, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, flowers, pine, citrus, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. IMO: Initial when the beers was quit cold it was better, but as it heat's up .. then flavor goes down ... [20201214]

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a slightly hazy golden wth a smallish, white head. Nose has a slight, tropical fruit note - ever so slight. Medium body, fruity but has an odd, chemical flaw before the bitterness sets in. Pay a premium price to get a proper IPA. 251120
