Freshly toasted coriander seeds are added to the grist and at the later stages of the boil, resulting in a festival of flavour and aroma. This delightful beer is a real thirst quencher, and is particularly good as an accompaniment to curry.

Cask at the live and let live, Cambridge. It pours clear amber with a bubbly white head. The nose is earthy, light toast, fruity, herbal, floral and brown bread. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, brown bread, but, caramel, wood and light herbal notes with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Thankfully the coriander is not overdone. Interesting enough.

Hazy amber, lots of coriander, some biscuity malts for balance and light bitterness. Decent bitter.

Cask at the Victoria Inn, Rugby, 16/12/13. Almost clear golden with a good sized white head that retains, good full glass lacing ensues. Nose is light spice, biscuit malt, faint ginger, straw. Taste comprises lemon rind, ginger snap biscuit, corriander notes, straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok spiced up bitter.

Two hand-pulled pints in The Cock Hotel, wellington: one on 29th Nov 13, one on 1st Dec 13. Looked the same but the second pint wasnโt as mellow as the first, had more flavour and seemed โcrisperโ. Different barrel, or just two days older: should have asked the Landlord I suppose. Pours an orange/copper colour with a tight white crown. The aroma was fairly weak on both pints: some floral and light fruit esters with hints of spices. The taste is far from weak though: full of flavour with the coriander standing out within the blend of bittering hops and mild malts. Medium bodied and a pleasant change from the light golden cask brews that are flooding the UK market currently.

500 ml sampled in 2009. Dark golden body with a fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma has citric fruit, ginger and soap (probably the coriander!). Flavor is sweet malt, fruity and light bitterness. Thin watery body and short aftertaste. Not much taste, and the taste to find seems unbalanced.

On cask at JDW, Sutton Coldfield - An orange body with a thick light orange head. The aroma is very flowery, with some spicy notes, and a bit citric. The flavour is sweet and again very flowery combined with hints of perfume and coriander, leading to a dry end. Not bad, but easily forgettable.

Cask at the Elm Tree, Cambridge. Fairly weak aroma, but who cares about that! The flavour is amazingly floral with a huge hoppy bitterness and some spice from the coriander. A really excellent brew and quite different to anything most people will have tasted before.
