Freshly toasted coriander seeds are added to the grist and at the later stages of the boil, resulting in a festival of flavour and aroma. This delightful beer is a real thirst quencher, and is particularly good as an accompaniment to curry.

Bottle picked given to me as a gift. A friend bought this at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theater. The bottle says Shakespeare’s Globe Ale, and the back says it’s brewed by Nethergate, and this is the only beer i can find brewed by nethergate, that is 3.8%, and has coriander in it. Ok, i digress........
Big aroma of coriander, and lemon, with a touch of spicy hops. Flavor is sweet, but also a bit sour. The coriander dominates with the beer ends with a nice slightly tart lemon aftertase. Interesting beer, something you could really drink alot of i think. Nice offering, i’m quite glad to have been able to try it.

Hazed nutty color with a thin off white layer on top. Mild intensity in the aroma. Medium light body and a quite soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Caramel malty, fruity and some herbal (coriander) notes in the flavor.

Cask at the Live and Let Live, Cambridge. Golden brown with a larger-than-usual white head. Honeyed grassy smell with a hint of cinnamon and orange peel. Slightly sweet at first, the taste turns more bitter toward a dry finish. The flavour of ground coriander asserts itself in the taste without dominating the profile. Body is weaker than I would have liked. Decent, well crafted and very drinkable.
