Unser heller Bock ist eine vergleichsweise weiche und süffige Starkbierspezialität. Dieses Starkbier ist an Vollmundigkeit kaum zu überbieten, schmeckt aber trotzdem nicht süß.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Nutty, caramellish aroma. Rich malty body, again nutty and caramellish with a little evident alcohol. Very rich and drinkable. A lovely Bock. 191012

Bottle from GBBF 2012, drunk at home. Clear darkish brown colour with thick beige head. Sweetish herby aroma. Tasty nutty beer. Rather good I thought. Yes I like this. Some heat on the finish. Some hop as well. The nuttyness is rather good. Lovely in fact.

Aroma is a bit unpleasant, tart, sour and floury with solvent, some nettles and hints of sauerkraut. Flavour is somewhat tart with nettles, cabbage, hints of solvent and licorice. Not nice.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Reddish amber colour, big beige fluffy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is peas, some grass, herbs and mild maltyness. Flavour is peas, vegetables, herbs, grass, mild grains and some sweet malts. Not my cup of tea, as the almighty omhper usually says.

2011-02-11, draught at the Brauhaus, from fass, 6-5-6-3-12=32
Beautiful amber color; creamy head. The aroma is simple, a bit dusty, with cereals. The body is well built, with a round mouthfeel; caramel flavor with some sugars and a bit fruity; an impression of dusty cereals too; correct bitterness. Not my favorite.
2010-11-26, draught at Ølbaren, 5-5-6-2-11=29
Red amber color, hazy; compact head. Mild aroma, a bit cornyish. The body is a bit stronger than the average Lager, with some malt, some residual sugars, some cereals, but also some alcohol. Moderate, correct bitterness. Nothing special.

Draft. A dark golden beer with an off-white head, served in a stein by Mr. Lövenlund. The aroma has notes of alcohol, caramel, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl, caramel, and alcohol, leading to a dry metallic finish. Thick body.
