9/VIII/2012 - on tap as Bruch No. 1 Pilsener @ Zum Stiefel (Saarbrücken) - BB: n/a - (2012-864)
Clear blond beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive leaving a nice lacing. Aroma: stable (it's becoming a bit boring, here in Germany), sweet light malts, hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body, surprisingly. Taste: very malty, bit sweet, grains, little herbal, bitter hops, bit of citrus. Aftertaste: grains, little metallic, dry clean bitter ending.

Medium to good just off-white head, fed by well-carbonated classic golden beer. Very malty nose, bit of caramel and distinctive, if rather unsettling aroma of coffee-with-milk. Warm grains, and grassy at the end. Very grassy in taste, however, CO²-sourish lining, malts generally dominating but hops are clearly only just sub-treshold. Quite fizzy, seems a bit overcarbonated with somewhat aggressive MF. Light to medium body. Better than the sum of its parts. Big thanks to Marcusfromthebeerdesert!

Danke an Malzbonbon. Herber, minimal muffiger, etwas getreidiger Antrunk. Weiterhin herb und auch vollmundig, nachher hopfig-würzig, die Hopfigkeit wird nach und nach durch einen herben Ton ersetzt. Test vom 18.6.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,10,9,9 - 9,05

(33cl bottle, from Saarlander) Clear, pale golden colour with foamy white medium head, quite persistent and lacing. Shy aroma of herbal hops with a blend of pale malt. Mild bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; medium carbonation. Moderately malty and herbal hoppy taste; dry and bitter, slightly soapy finish. Rather average.
