20/1/2024. Can shared at CLBF/IKL. From Two Brews, Colchester. Pours clear dark bronze amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is boozy, caramel, raisins, blood orange, brown sugar, vanilla. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a slight tart edge. Medium body, average carbonation. Enjoyable.

On tap at The Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, pours a clear pale amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of rum, bready malt, and brown sugar. Flavour is full of rum-soaked oak chips, dried dark fruits, and light booze. Actually pretty nicely done. The rum is not too overpowering. Decent.

Can from the Green Goddess, Blackheath Royal Standard. Chestnut red pour with a swiftly dissipating beige head. Nose is toffee,molasses, dried fruit. Taste is caramel, toffee apple, molasses. Boozy sweet malt action. Warming alcohol infusion. Interesting.

330ml can from Trembling Madness. Nutty brown with a small head that quickly fizzed away. Aroma is caramel and candy sugar, flavour is similar with plenty of boozy rum notes

Clear amber, thin head. Smells of sweet malt and boozy warmth. Flavour has rum, brown sugar sweet malt, boozy warmth. Some dried fruit in here too, with a bit of vanilla. The rum is strong in this without ruining it which is a triumph of balance and it still tastes like a quad. Lovely stuff.

Can from The Strait and Narrow. Deep caramel colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are malty and citrus. Yeasty and dried fruity. Full body.
