The bottle looks not really good. The beer in the glass is okay. Smells terrible sourish. And it tastes the same. Sourish and fermented, finish much too malty. Not a good beer.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden to light-amber colour with small and non-persistent off-white frothy head. Balanced sweet malty, slightly toasted and resiny hoppy aroma with notes of barnyard. Moderately sweet flavoured malt-accentes taste with herbal spice and a tinge of fruity honey; almost medium bodied with a well-carbonated mf; almost dry, medium-bitter finish with a good length.

Bottle: Distinctive fruity and "wooden" herbal hoppy nose; deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized, creamy, but quickly diminishing off-white foam; moderate bitter, a bit sweetish flavour; light to medium bodied; dryish, bitter aromatic finish. A pleasant, well quaffable Festbier with the typical Hebendanz character........
