Brown flip-top half-litre bottle, best before 8 Jan 2010, drank three days later (11 Jan 2010), so just out of date. Poured three times into a 0.2 litre Veltins stemmed tulip glass. Each pour produced a good looking copper coloured beer with a fine deep off-white head Plenty of life to be seen, bubbles rising throughout the tasting, so lots of carbonisation. The body was almost clear, just the hint of a haze. Fairly malty in the smell, a sweet molasses type aroma I suppose. Not sickly, but on the sweet side. The sweetness from the malty aroma carried on into the taste. A little on the fizzy side, all those bubbles mentioned in the apperance attack you as you sip the beer. The beer dried somewhat in the aftertaste, but appeared full bodied and well balanced for a lager based beer. I enjoyed this beer a lot better than my first beer from this brewery, thank goodness, because I have more to review. They export to the UK, but I don’t think anywhere else.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de. Nice reddish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is grains, fruits and some mild rubbery notes. Flavour is quite much the same. A bit like WTF for this brewery, even though they had a few other beers not that solid as well.

Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Dark golden, light hazy with plentiful champagne bubbles, and off-white textured lace. Rich malt aromatic aroma, light butterscotch, pears, sundried hay. Fullbodied, wonderfull fruity malt base broken up by sparkles on the tongue and a fine grassy finish. Slightly too fast exit, but still deliciously moreish.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Hazy, light amber coloured, smaller quickly collapsing off-white head, no carbonation visible; rural malty nose with a light herbal hoppy touch; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, very soft; slightly increasing herbal hoppiness towards the malty-bitter finish. Unspectacular brew, but very well rounded and very well drinkable.......

bottle, Dank nach BO! Hazy golden brown, large and creamy off-white head. Grainy-fruity nose. Medium-boied, intensive malty base, grainy, with shy fruity hints of a a touch of caramel. Slightly hoppy towards the finish. A delicious and well-balanced Landbier.
