From tap at Café De Koffer, Groningen. Big and sticky with lots of maple, coffee, alcohol, roast, cocoa, some vanilla. Big sweet flavour, mild bitter. Full heavy sticky body. Nice to sip on. What a beast of a beer.

Bottle. Black, quite lively. Massive chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, sweet malts, almonds, coffee, quite some alcohol. Solid sweet, medium bitter. Almost full bodied. Tasty, but very boozy.

Black beer, filmy head. Smell has dark chocolate, bourbon, syrup, toasty malt. Flavour has all that plus coffee and vanilla. It's very sweet but with enough toastiness and boozy warmth to lend it some balance, especially given at this strength it's a sipper anyway! Very good.
