Swing top bottle 500ml (BZ, BB 07/2012)
Deep ruby color, small beige head. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts and some kind of dusty tobacco. Medium-bodied. A bit dry, coffeish bock, some woody, cellary notes. Later when warms up, more sweet and caramelly. Oily palate. Quickly vanishing flavors, otherwise ok, so far the best Gessner I’ve had.

swingtop bottle from toft vin. clear dark brown, smooth beige head. sweet malty aroma, some hops (german), roasted malty note, caramel. flavor is roasted malts, oxidized , flowery hops, cardboard , a nice dry roasted malty ending. tastes like it is slightly oxidized, but date is good, and apart from that the beer seems fresh enough. Perhaps something else?.

Ruby-brown colour. Rich thick bock, treacly tones, very chocolatey and earthy. Very nice - there’s some firm alcohol on the nose, not as much as on the palate.

Flaske 0,5l delt med Rune 26 Mai 10. Dyp amber på farge. Skummet er svakt farget. Høyt og luftig men daler etter ei lita stund. Aromaen er maltig med litt røykpreg. Smaken blir i søteste laget. Karamell. Uvariert og litt kjedelig.

500ml swingtop bottle bought at Bier Spezialität Laden, Berlin. Decent beige head atop of a deep mahogany body. Smell of sweet earthy malts. Roasted, mid-sweet malts, including grainy chocolate, to the taste buds. Finish with a dry, malt-fruity touch. So and so (shared with Finn, Tromsø 26.05.2010).
