How does one make a German Chocolate Cake? First you brew a big Russian Imperial Stout and age it for 9 months in bourbon barrels. That gives you a solid base to add the special ingredients, rich German chocolate, Tahitian vanilla, toasted coconut, and lactose milk sugar. The result is a rich, liquid cake of German style with boozy vanilla notes up front, profound chocolate throughout and a decadent sweet cessation to devour in bliss.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown with a finger of beige foam that dissipates. Big bourbon focused nose with coconut, vanilla and dark chocolate aromas. More of the same on the palate with vanilla and oak and lingering coconut. Warming bourbon and oak on the finish with coconut and chocolate cake notes that linger. Flying Buffalo quality is back after a 4-5 year fall off. Really solid.
