Bourbon Barrel Three Philosophers pours a dark cherry-chestnut with a smooth, tan head. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt, black fruits, and caramel lead to flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses and oak. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy with a long, smooth finish.

Pours amber brown with a lasting light beige head. The aroma is of malt, toffee, Belgian yeast, and bourbon. It tastes very sweet with bourbon, caramel, malt, a little dark fruit, and alcohol. Full bodied. It’s good though I preferred the wine version

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma dark and dried fruits, raisin, prune, vanilla, some barrel and cherries. Taste has dried fruits, raisin, vanilla, bourbon. Almost full bodied, not stickyness. Succesful barreling, it's quite strong but balanced. I like this, complex and tasteful.
Surprisingly light brown, a bit translucent even. Light, almost watery body, sweet, some oak barrel and booze. Let's let this warm up. Update in 15mins: more bourbon, a bit of dark fruit, some vanilla in the finish. Smooth, coming together now. Very nice.

Can - labeled as 12% abv - cloudy dark ruby - the nose is rich oak, bourbon, vanilla, tart cherry skin tannins - creamy texture - sweet, with fairly apparent bourbon, but not enough the wash out the dark fruit, moderate phenols, and light tartness of the base beer - finish adds a light peppery spice to the lingering dark fruit, vanilla, and bourbon.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 9.5% ABV
Hazy dark amber colour. It's sweet, loaded with bourbon, and bubblegum; strong alcohol.
Heavily unballanced, I can drink it though.
