Gift from friend Paul, thanks man! Aromas are malt, Belgian yeast with a little cranberry. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, on the sweet side with very little tart cranberry. Not a lot else going on. Not bad not great.

Bottle. This one poured a deep, ruby red color with a small, off-white head. Aroma was a lot like Tröegs Mad Elf. Flavor was cherries, honey. Flavor was sweet, cherry, honey. Alcohol is pretty apparent, but it's relatively smooth.

Costumer asked me how it was, told him I hadn’t tried it yet, so cracked a cold one open, poured him some, then myself the rest.
Similar to Mad Elf, but something in the finish, perhaps the nutmeg, that is off putting.

Bottle from the advent box. Pours a dark gold bordering on amber with a small tightly bubbled dirty white head that quickly recedes. Belgian and nutmeg spice on the nose backed up with some toasty caramel maltiness. Flavor adds some cinnamon and citrus. Pretty Nice.

Orange, cranberry, cinnamon, caramel malt, and orange peel aroma. Dark amber with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet cranberry, orange, nutmeg/cinnamon, caramel malt, and mildly bitter orange peel and grass flavor. Good body - nice balance - light boozy finish.

Taster at Parkesburg location. Clear copper pour, spotty head, some lacing. Aroma is clove, nutmeg, allspice. Taste brings just enough tripel characteristics to remind of its roots, and the orange peel comes into play, spice fades. After first sniff I didn't have high hopes, but the taste gets back to the base beer and the winter spice is just an accent.

Pour is a dark leathery tan with almost no head. Aroma is a Belgian yeast ester, fusel alcohol and cranberry juice. Flavor turns out to be more of a spiced ale. Cranberry and nutmeg are here with some caramel malt and maybe ever some cherry. No alcohol is felt. Pretty good Belgian winter warmer.

Pours clear caramel into a tulip. White head with good retention recedes leaving spotty sheet lacing. Cranberry and nutmeg aromas. Thick with hot caramel, cranberry and vanilla front to back. Slick earthy bitter root finish.

12oz bottle pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a lot of the label stated additions like nutmeg, cinnamon and then a thin toffee note leading to various fig and pear like fruity esters. The taste delivers a nice blend of sweet light skinned fruity esters and nutmeg to cinnamon spiciness. To midway it picks up a cherry like fruitiness followed by growing spices. Pretty nice with great balance.
