Cask at Sun, Stafford – at 5%. Pours almost black (though it was it a dim light !) with a small beige head and good lacing. Roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma, and the same combination again in the mouth whwere the texture is creamy. Traces of lactose and liquorice too. Finish is quite dry and lsightly bitter. Not bad at all.

Cask-conditioned at the Chums, Bristol 9/3/2019. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, beige, head. An easy drinking stout, with some cocoa powder, toasty malts and a gentle finish. Fine.
