The Yeast Series will be similar to the Single Hop Series. They are identical beers – only difference is the yeast series is that the beers will be fermented with different yeast strains.
It will be a ‘strong pale ale’ – 8%, pretty well hopped but not oven the top. Malt, hops, water are identical. Only difference is the yeast.

Bottle looks very simple but still good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts strong, quite yeasty, more and more dry and woody. Finish spicy-dry, notes of cinnamon. Modest sourish aftertaste. Interesting.

Bottle that Jan & Charlotte passed to me at Kerstbier Festival Essen, Belgium, Dec 2010 Many thanks Jan & Charlotte for this consumed 18.02.11 Pours as the other four i.e. orange amber colour, with a white head and some haziness. Clean with the citrus shining through, quite a lemonyness. This is crisp, fresh and clean I like this because its subtle unlike some of the others. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

First rating: Medium beige head. Amber body. Harmonic floral citric aroma. Dry-sweet citric floral wooden taste with malty notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry strawberry and alcohol aftertaste with grapefruit, resin, and wood notes. Quite nice, but unspectacular. No sign of the yeast character. (0.33l bottle, shared by Ole_R.) 6,4,6,3,13=3.2
Second rating: Small white head. Hazy orange body. Salty lychee and mango aroma with watery strawberry notes. Dry-sweet mango and strawberry taste with spicy wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish gooseberry and strawberry aftertaste with tropical fruit and flour notes. Delicate, drinkable, and very nice. (0.2l draft at Øl & Brød, Copenhagen.) 6,4,6,3,14=3.4

11.2 fl oz bottle purchased at Gomers in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Pour is hazed orange golden with a thick three inch light tan head. Head eventually falls with nice lacing. Aroma is fresh orange citrus hops, along with a nicely defined nutty caramel malt. Taste is the citrus hops - though more grapefruit than orange, in balance with the bready sweet malt. The finish is mineral dry, with a touch of earthiness along with residual bitterness. Palate is medium bodied, right amount of carbonation and the dry flinty finish. Really no indication of the 8%. This was nice.

Botttle as American-Style from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours hazy copper with a foamy off-white head. Nice aroma - I call citrus hop. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor - I call resin hop - with some grapefruit rind. Finishes with a nice bitter burn. Good beer.
