Blue Mango Design: We created a new Belgian beer for Lidl Belgium, Merelbeke, to answer the growing consumer demand of strong beers in Europe. With our Brussels design team we started from three optional names and created a rich storytelling around them. As the Crius story of a Greek god, member of the Titans and represented by a ram figure, had the most potential we decided to go on with that brand name.

0.33l bottle, courtesy of CanCrusher. Aroma is caramelly, dried fruity, yeasty and floral. Pours cloudy dark golden color with large creamy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts moderate sweet toasted malty, strong alcoholic and phenolic, following is dried fruity, yeasty and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, thick creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Good quality for a Lidl beer…

Bottiglia. Il naso viene catturato dall'orzo tostato. L'intensità olfattiva è sufficiente, permanendo in maniera sufficiente.
