Blue Mango Design: We created a new Belgian beer for Lidl Belgium, Merelbeke, to answer the growing consumer demand of strong beers in Europe. With our Brussels design team we started from three optional names and created a rich storytelling around them. As the Crius story of a Greek god, member of the Titans and represented by a ram figure, had the most potential we decided to go on with that brand name.

slightly opalescent, almost clear golden colour, huge, dense white head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of lemongrassy, grassy, green herbal, some floral and grainy-bready notes; taste has similar notes to the aroma with a great amount of herbal hoppy notes; I like it, though obviously not the most complex Belgian strong ale I've ever tasted

Large foamy head stayed on a highly carbonated golden coloured body. Grain, citrus & yeast aroma. Medium bodied, foamy dry & clean. Pale malt, herbal, citrus, zest & yeast tastes with a bitterly hopped finish. Top class fake Duvel from Lidl - tastes like the real thing!

Bottle from Lidl, Inverurie. It pours clear yellow with a lively, fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet banana, estery fruits, dried apples, straw, bready malt, booze, touch of boiled sweets , dried florals and spice. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, punchy, slap of booze, straw, grass, floral, green banana, spicy, clean malt and straw with a drying finish. Medium body and fairy Hugh, lively carbonation. Not bad overall, good boost level for sure.

Fles gedeeld door Inoven. Het is een helder licht geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en citrus. De smaak is citrus achtig en kruidig.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy golden pour, one finger creamy white head, long lasting, good retention. Sticky lacing on the glass. Perfumy and floral notes on the nose, ripe fruits, light alcohol notes in the background. Medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, slightly fizzy, easily drinkable. Sweet taste balanced with mild fruity sour notes. Aroma of caramel malt, ripe fruits, citruses. Phenolic, yeasty. Light spice notes, minerals. Lingering alcohol in the background, slightly warming. Medium lasting finish, sweet, dry, lingering boozy bitter notes. Decent.

Fles gekocht bij Lidl in Oirschot. Goudgeel helder bier, heftig schuimend tijdens inschenken. Aroma van citrusvruchten. Smaak is kruidig waarbij de kruidige smaak ook even blijft hangen.
